I don’t think this collection is nice… also, why is it filing under Formal Section in the Glam Tab? Clearly these are costumes, not formal wear.
Anyway, they’re ugly and expensive… it’s a no-go for me.

I bought the Queen of Hearts, the first attempt gave me an error message telling me to try again. The second attempt was successful, but it gave me two instead and now I’m out the BP’s for an extra one that I didn’t want….I sent a request to fix it and give my BP’s back but it’s still not fixed.

The quality of the glam really seems to have gone down hill lately. Including the Olympic stuff…which I suspect was thrown together at the last minute…or after the first week as the case was. and now this.
How about some more CUTE clothes. You were really on a roll there for a while with beautiful and fun items.
The BP’s have gone up…the style down. I won’t pay for the charm/pop alone.

These outfits are way outdated… this is SORORITY LIFE I don’t think any sorority girl would be caught wearing one, nwo if these were given a 2010 twist I’d bet everyone would buy it. Sexy it up a bit, a saw so many sexy, cute Alice in Wonderland Costumes that were to die for… I buy BP on a regular basis, This is something I will not waste my money on.
Alice in Wonderland is a great theme but those clothes aren’t pretty; much better could’ve been done with the theme. Oh, well.
marie, learnt to speak English, and the alice in wonderland dress and the olympic collection is pretty ugly, especially the olympic collection. And why does everything seem to cost 20-23 bps these days???? what happened to the 18-19 bp outfits? the quality and creativity have gone down, but the bps have gone up. I makes no sense. OMG yes I agree, these look like something my Mom would wear, not something a sorority girl would wear. I know it’s still cold and all but what’s up with all the covered up glam lately. I now things can look a little sexier. Everything looks loose on the avatar. Try putting up tight little bright yellow, green or hot pink dresses with tutu’s or something. Can we also bring back some different hair with earrings, who nowadays doesn’t wear earrings? C’mon.

I like the Queen of hearts dress, although it would be awesome if it came with hair and a crown. The alice dress looks like something that a pig farmers wife wore during the industrial revolution. Glam it up, people!

p.s., i liked the notifications. what happened to them? also, most of my grab bag items are expired before i can claim them, usually sent the same day. i think playdom should fix glitches before more changes. it really confuses people who are trying to learn the game.

Queen of hearts outfit is gorgeous! What a bunch of complainers met here! This is a game, in a game I want to wear something I wouldn’t wear in RL. This was the first thing I bought since Valentine contest, thanks SL!
Quick question: What do you do with the money you earn? I’ve already completed the Platinum awards for Clothes and Accessories, so what do I do now? The car need to hve a POP OVER 14 and you can only buy those with BP’s.
I’m bored, because I have nothing left to buy to get awards, which sucks.
I agree with Tasha in that I LOVE this set!! I’m flaming pissed I wasn’t online the past few days and missed the Alice dress, and I snatched up the Queen of Hearts dress. =^_^= Must be the Art Student in me. I love the dramatic. I HAVE noticed some of the clothing detailing and design elemants going a bit downhill (The equestrian outfit looks a bit undone, and gold shoes that went with the date dress . . . I could continue, but I digress.) And as B*****y Kitty has pointed out many of my gifts expire the day I get them. >_< Please fix this. It was MOST fustrating with the Valentines gift one day only give away prizes. I know this is a massive site and you have a large group of ladies to please; (or try to anyway . . .) Glitches will happen, problems are inevitable, and you canNOT please everyone. On the whole – Good job!
i am going to go against the majority and say great job on the alice in wonderland glam. and to all of the women here saying it’s not sexy enough: it’s not supposed to!!! if anyone looks at movie stills, the glam was designed after the new movie costumes. alice’s dress in the movie looks like the glam, as does the queen’s dress. as for glam being ugly lately, again, i disagree. a lot of the glam has been inspired by runway looks from fashion week, so if anyone thinks the clothes is ugly, go complain to the real life designer who designed the clothes. also, it’s winter, so things will probably be more covered up and winter themed. the only thing i haven’t liked lately is the orange dress, but that’s a matter of my own personal taste.
as for things not being sexy enough, come on! not everyone wants to look “sexy” (which i have a sinking suspicion might just be slutty) all of the time. not all sorority girls run around looking vamped up all of the time. as a girl planning on rushing a sorority in a couple months, and friends with greek girls, i know that not all sorority girls look the same. some are modest; some are not. i think SL has done a great job covering all sides of the spectrum.
so stop complaining everyone. if you don’t like it, don’t buy it! save your money and/or brownie points until something better comes along. no one is telling you you have to spend it right this moment.

I agree with the other posters. Why waste our time complaining how ugly the new dresses are, how there isn’t anything to buy with the money you get from the events, or all the pointless changes? The designers don’t seem to care at all…. On the other hand, since this game is getting boring, it makes it easy to pop in, do a couple of things, and move on quickly to more fun apps.
I am fine with the Alice in Wonderland theme. The game is getting a little boring, though. I would love more challenges – the ability to win more platinum and diamond awards or even an implementation of limited challenges (for a week or two only) to win some nice glam. I also would like the creators to include new clothing for cash, too, not just for brownie points. I do spend money on BPs, but it also would be nice to spend the money we accumulate each day to make the game more interesting and fun.

Love the glam designed after the movie! For those of you whining about the awesome costumes, ask your mommies to take you to a PG movie so you can see them on the big screen.
the queen of hearts is ok but the alice outfit seems simple. glam these days aren’t catching eyes…- – i think those dress in [Holiday Charity Gala] more pretty.lol. please fix the strange look of your SL hair. [VELVET BLAZER WITH PLAID SKIRT],this one covered the doll’s face…. make it easy a little to earn BPs, that’s not fun, we can only look and miss them cause we don’t have enough BPs.

I am disappointed in the MODE items. This latest orange travesty looks like lingerie, not a dress to wear out in public. Good thing the avatars only stand, because it’s curtains if they sit down in that get-up! Request for higher quality glam with chic and on-trend detailing, not slutty, homely, or boring. I purchased Brownie Points for the first time ever to buy the Wonderland dress. I never thought I would pay money for a virtual item, but it looked so much like the movie dress that I had to have it. I don’t think thinks need to be sexy all the time to be cute.
Are the SL designers supposed to contact each and every one of you personally to get your approval on new designs? They are doing a fine job. I may not love every outfit or piece of glam released, but it is up to me whether or not to purchase. There will always be another to take its place. I think it is a fun game, and it IS only a game. Most of the posts on here are rude, ungrateful, and sound entitled. Threats to leave the game are hilarious. Honestly, it won’t make a difference, and most probably won’t leave anyway.
Some people clearly cannot distinguish the differance between sexy and slutty. Some how one equals the other, seriously??? Sexy does not mean slutty, but to a prude I geuss it would. What a shame.
Why bother complaining? At least this way we can horde the BPs we’re currently getting from level-ups and such for when (or if) the quality of clothes goes back up. It’s like anything else – don’t buy what you don’t want. Just wait for the good stuff to come in and still have BPs left over.

I love Lewis Carroll’s stories about Alice, adored Tim Burton’s recent film, and applaud SL’s designers for providing an excellent version of the costumes worn in the film by both Helena Bonham Carter (Red Queen of Hearts) and Mia Wasikowska (Alice). I quickly purchased the brownie points for the Queen of Hearts gown.
I agree that it would have been nice to have had the Queen’s costume include her crown and regal red tresses (without her huge head, preferably). I wish the Cheshire Cat and the gown of the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) would have been offered. The SL team missed the boat by not re-offering the previously sold Mat Hatter costume, even if it doesn’t look like the costume worn by Rafael the Romantic. . . oops, I mean Johnny Depp. ;D

yes actually, the red hearts dress was extremely well done with every last detail down to the pattern and ridges. Well done on that.
Please remember that this is the World Wide Web and attacking someone’s lack of ability to use the English languge, when they are not from an English speaking country is a waste of time and makes you look intolerant of others. Not everyone learns a second language. God knows we don’t in the US, for the most part and expect everyone to understand us. If we’re going by population and production, we should all speak a form of Chinese.
As for the dresses, who would wear that? A five year old to Disneyland, maybe. I don’t know what’s happening here, but we’re not getting anything without shelling out real cash anymore and I buy BP’s. I also want a way to get new shoes and some bling on my girl. A bracelet? We’re looking at a flash paperdoll here, it can be done. Oh, and whoever draws those creepy men, should perhaps rethink an art career in realistic life art and go into modern art. Cruel? Nope. That seems to be where the talent lies.
leeloo, your incorrect assumption of my being a prude is stupid and ignorant. i’m going off of what these comments and the sl boards have shown me. a large part of what is considered “sexy” in this game would equate to an outfit considered slutty and inappropriate in real life. btw, not all cultures think alike, so before you go calling people “prudes”, educate yourself on world views of beauty and tact. sl is an international game, and therefore should be accepting of all theories and beliefs on modesty and beauty. i just said the clothes could be slutty, not the players. on top of that, my view on sexy, slight amounts of skin shown leaving things to the imagination, might differ from someone who believes “hey, the more skin showing the better”.
so don’t play the name game. not only does it make you come off as rude, it makes you look silly.
Hey, quick question: Why are l of the brunette hairstyles needed to be bought with BP’s? I know girls are complaining because all of the LE hairstyles are Brunettes, but it’s annoying because I don’t have the BP’s to buy them, and the rest of the hair is blonde! I have a black avatar, so blonde looks kinda tacky on her.

Did you know that were in a resession and cant ust spend hard earned money on crap like this. like the game even thought it takes about a month just to get a freaking horse! im still not there yet.
They were made as “replicas” for the Alice in Wonderland movie that just came out. They aren’t supposed to look like SL’s own creation….they are from the wardrobes in the movie…jeez.
Also, I don’t think you were being rude, Victoria. Some of the outfits do look scanty…Which is why I only wear them on SL and not in rl. lol =)

The reason why we need to pay for glam using BPs is because the creators of SL make their living off of BPs. Sorority Life is offered to us for free. We don’t have to pay to play the game. I’ve never bought BPs. I just save up the ones I get from leveling up or from completing events. When people choose to buy BPs (which I would certainly do if I wanted to buy a certain piece of glam and didn’t have the BPs) they are supporting the game and keeping it free for everyone who is adamant against buying glam.

I know you seem to be angry that people are calling you out for your typo, but think about it…you are so bent that people are calling you out for a misspelling when you were calling Marie out for her misspelling. How do you think she feels? You said if you’d known that she didn’t speak English well, then you wouldn’t have said anything. What difference does it make? Why the need to say anything in the first place? To look superior? Well, that certainly backfired. Anyway, I think the reason so many people commented was because your original comment sounded so nasty. Try to think of others before you type nasty and meaningless comments.
Oh, and I can’t stand the Alice in Wonderland dresses. I don’t care if that’s what they looked like in the movie (haven’t seen it YET!) I HEART Alice in Wonderland more than most “fairy tales,” but those dresses were just plain frumpy and dowdy.

I will not use my real money to play a game online sooner or later someone will come up with the idea to make a game where u can play and not use ur own money. I can’t ever get enough brownie points i use to play for hours on end but lately without brownie points u can’t do anything. U play the games and they give u the same glam over and over again, by the end of my time playing i have 12 dress all the same, and when i do get brownie points i use them and end up playing the games but again end up wit the same glam its crazy. the outfits are becoming crazier and uglier and the nice stuff is like 2 million brownie points lol. whats the deal? my bank is loaded why can’t we use the money in our banks instead of brownie points? or give us brownie points for logging in everyday do something so that we can play and have fun and not worry about going broke in real life to play this game its fun but certainly not cash outta my pocket fun…. improve the game or ur going to lose more and more players!!
there should be a new way to buy glam besides the brownie points, if u must keep the brownie points then do it but also add another way that u can get stuff as well its just isn’t fair to the people that don’t have daddy’s credit card to blow real money or the people that have a family to support, i love the game and the girls on here but seriously there has to be some way to make it easier to get glam cause some people just don’t have the real money, i mean work with us we play and keep ur site running so do something for us players …… (BROWNIE POINTS FOR LOGGING IN EACH DAY 2 PER DAY )

Let my first start off by saying I love Sorority Life. I just can’t understand after they get a lot brownie point money for some of this high end clothes why, they don’t let you pay for it with the money you have in your bank. At first they start off by letting buy clothes then it is all about buying brownie points. And I am one the people who have bought brownie points, on more than one occasion. Put some clothes out that we can buy with the money we make in Sorority Life. I think all the sisters will be happy.
I love Alice in Wonderland, but guess what, I refused to have used my BP’s for them. I don’t think that they were worth the pixels used to create them. Just another thought.
You know Victoria because that post was so old and the dress is already gone, I won’t come in on the back end of that argument and say what I really feel, but I’m sure you will have more to say later. But let me go on record as to say this, just because it comes off the runways of Paris or is shown at Fashion Week does not make it “beautiful or a correct fashion statement.” What it does mean is that people are dumb enough to buy into what is being fed to them. I was under the impression that “art” was and is a subjective perception. So if “WE” choose to “complain” about what we see or don’t like what we see, then “WE” have every right to speak our minds, just as you have, but OOPS I’ve said too much already. MY BAD.
